Gabarito, in the wild

Every documented use, specimen, review and pairing resource I could find for Gabarito (Naipe Foundry / Google Fonts) — plus a separate shelf of near-matches.

Honest headline: Gabarito is genuinely under-used. There is no Awwwards SOTD, no big-brand identity, no Typewolf top-40 slot. Fonts In Use has 2 entries, One Page Love has 2, MaxiBestOf has 1. That's the whole documented record as of today. Good news for you: it's distinctive without being exhausted. This page is the full census, not a highlight reel.

Gabarito
Regular — the quick brown fox
Medium — the quick brown fox
SemiBold — the quick brown fox
Bold — the quick brown fox
ExtraBold — the quick brown fox
Black — 1234567890 ?!&@

This whole page is set in Gabarito (headings + body) with DM Mono for metadata — that's the pairing MaxiBestOf records from the only portfolio site it has on file.

1 · Real sites using it (verified)

I fetched each of these and confirmed "Gabarito" actually appears in the served markup/CSS — not just a gallery claim.

2 · Print / identity work (Fonts In Use)

3 · Where to keep hunting

Only three galleries in the world let you filter by typeface. The big award sites (Awwwards, Godly, Land-book, SiteInspire) index by colour/category, not font — I checked, there's no Gabarito filter to pull.

4 · Source, specimens & tooling

The origin story, in one paragraph

Commissioned 2017 for a Brazilian exam-prep platform. Started by Leandro Assis and Álvaro Franca, developed 2020 with Felipe Casaprima, reworked for open source in 2023 with Henrique Beier (Harbor Type). Named after the Brazilian Portuguese word for answer sheet — it was built so 17-year-olds cramming for the vestibular would find the page friendly rather than threatening, which is why it carries a full load of maths operators, set-theory symbols, roman numerals and scientific inferiors/superiors alongside a geometric sans that refuses to be cold.

5 · Reviews & pairings

6 · Near-matches — NOT Gabarito

Kept deliberately separate. These are what people reach for when Gabarito doesn't fit — mostly because of the missing italics or the missing light weight. Useful as a fallback stack, a body-text partner, or a sanity check that Gabarito really is the distinctive choice.
